Quick update: I am currently finishing up Book One in a new four-book Intrigue series! So, blogging has slowed but it won't stay there long! A whole slew of posts are waiting in the drafts and, I can only hope will be intriguing! (See what I did there?!)
Now, to the matter at hand. Do I like, love, or adamantly HATE Manhunt's cover (that was sent to me last night)?
I. Love. It.
Let me tell you, I have seen a lot of bad book covers in my day. Self-pubbed or traditional, I've seen more than a handful that make the bad part of me judge them before I even open them. So the idea of strangers putting together the face of something I was/am very invested in made me more than nervous! Though, I am SO HAPPY with the outcome!
They absolutely nailed the scenery down and, even though his lips are weirdly pouting, I think Detective Braydon is as close to the image in my as you can get!
For those who don't know, Harlequin sends its authors an Art Fact Sheet for each book. This sheet asks us a ton of questions about how each character looks so they can attempt to make our MCs match the picture we've created in our heads! It also has a section where we are supposed to suggest a few scenes from the book that might look great on the cover. I am very pleased that THIS cover is one of the scenes I submitted. It's an intense moment in the book for sure!
So, thank you Harlequin and your wonderful art department! I'm excited to see what will be created for my new series now!
