THE LONG(EST) VERSION
Tyler Anne Snell writes a little bit of everything but has a soft spot for thrillers and mysteries filled with sexual tension. Here's a quick rundown to get to know her!
Her love for writing started with the video game Zelda and Author Madeleine L’Engle’s Time Quartet series and has snowballed out of control ever since. She has never wanted to be anything other than an author (aside from a real life Final Fantasy character or Jackie Chan’s best friend and sparring buddy) and if you asked her what is her favorite activity other than writing, she would point to her filled-to-the-brim bookcase.
Tyler holds a B.S. degree in Design, Technology & Industry with a creative writing minor, which allowed her to become a freelance designer, social media manager, and blogger until she was able to write full time.
Like most writers, Tyler’s procrastination was great for many years. It wasn't until she entered the So You Think You Can Write 2013 contest that she realized she needed to get her writing career into gear. She published her first book in 2015 with Harlequin Intrigue!
If you asked Tyler what her favorite book is she’d look off into space for a good few minutes before listing off at least ten. Her favorite movies aren’t as hard to think through with Howl’s Moving Castle, Big Trouble In Little China, Tommy Boy, Rumble in the Bronx (hey, Jackie!), and Jurassic Park in a constant hold for the top. She has no problem professing her love for authors Madeleine L’Engle, Neil Gaiman, Daniel O’Malley, Charlaine Harris, and Stephen King. Though the list keeps growing!
When she isn’t writing or reading, Tyler is playing video games with her same-named husband or stuck in the endless void known as Pinterest. All while being logged into Facebook.
She used to share a lifestyle and inspiration blog (Almost There) with the lovely Holli Anne and now has an Instagram that’s often filled with coffee-related posts.
Tyler lives in Alabama with her husband, three cats, and the burning desire to meet Kurt Russell.
